AN UNCOMMON LENS ON THE COMMON GROUND

Online with Suzi Tucker

These 10 workshop-presentations address some of the questions most frequently brought forward by clients. Each 2-session meeting will include didactic and experiential content with time reserved at the end for Q/A. Join me for one, several, or all the offerings.

Entrepreneurs and Other Misfits (October 24-25, 2020; 11:00-1:00 EST)
We explore ways to harness the power of our vision rather than be led astray by it. We take a systemic look inside the singular.

Mother, May I? (November 7-8, 2020; 11:00-1:00 EST)
Together, we explore the complex relationship with the mother, one that often haunts us deep into adulthood (even after her death).

Father, Who Are You? (November 21-22, 2020; 11:00-1:00 EST)
Together, we begin to reframe the relationship with the father, a figure so often unsung, underestimated, demonized, or forgotten. We also consider how not to become this figure.

The Good Farewell: On Loss and Meaning (December 5-6, 2020; 11:00-1:00 EST)
Whether we are separating from a loved one or leaving a professional position, the way we leave affects how we arrive at the next. Here, we explore the place of loss in a full life.

The Power of Optimism: Navigating Difficult Dynamics (December 19-20, 2020; 11:00-1:00 EST)
Optimism is a super power, especially in challenging circumstances. Neither wishful thinking nor entitled to abundance, optimism is a way to move through the world with strength and ease — even when we have neither.

Abortion: Grief and Responsibility (January 9-10, 2021; 11:00-1:00 EST)
What if prochoice and pro-life were on the same side? There would be room for the full breadth of feeling and responsiveness. Together, we reclaim this space from the dichotomy of belief so that the experience can be more fully reconciled.

Parenting: Expanding the Vocabulary (January 23-24, 2021; 11:00-1:00 EST)
Together, we look at innovative systemic approaches to caring for children at every stage from birth to adulthood.

Love’s Own Truths: On Couple Relationships (February 6-7, 2021; 11:00-1:00 EST)
Feeling stuck or ambivalent is usually actually avoidance. Something wants to happen. We will explore this tipping point and other milestones in the couple relationship.

I Wanted From Them, I Expect From You (February 20-21, 2021; 11:00-1:00 EST)
In this workshop we look at our perceptions of what wasn’t received from the family of origin and how those feelings carry into adulthood and influence adult relationships.

Breaking the Trance of Self-Limiting Thinking (March 6-7, 2021; 11:00-1:00 EST)
We know that our inner critical voices are usually messages from childhood. We cannot yell them away or beg them away — and many of us spend a lifetime trying to prove them wrong! We will explore ways to widen the parameters of our thinking so something fresh can emerge.
